About APCO

APCO Recycling is a local beverage container depot. We take back the cans and bottles you've already paid a deposit on, and hand that deposit back to you — no sorting required on your end, though it speeds things up.

Every container gets counted the same way, whether you're bringing in a single case or clearing out a garage full of bags — nothing gets weighed, just counted per unit.

We're built on community: local businesses and schools are welcome to drop off and set up an account with us, right alongside everyday households.

Everything we take back gets baled and shipped on to material recovery — nothing goes to landfill.

We also accept liquor and wine boxes — ask at the counter for the rate.
Every beverage carries a deposit, but we can only refund the deposit on bottles and cans that deposit was actually paid on.

Build up a balance over time instead of cashing out on every visit — handy if you're just clearing out bags as you go.

Local businesses

Pubs, restaurants, and shops can drop off regularly and let their balance grow between cash-outs.

Schools & groups

Schools and community groups are welcome to set up an account for fundraising drop-offs.

Cash out your account balance anytime. Balances under $500 are paid in cash — balances over $500 are paid by cheque.

Pickup service

Churches, schools & organizations

For churches, schools, and select large organizations running fundraising drives, we'll come pick up your containers instead of you hauling them in. This service isn't available for individual households.

Containers aren't counted on the spot when we pick up — we bring everything back to the depot, count it there, and add the total to your account balance, which you can cash out anytime.
